Eagle that was a Chicken:

Once upon a time, an eagle's egg got mixed up with the eggs of a hen. The eggs hatched and the eaglet grew up with a brood of chicks. It lived all it's life doing what the other chickens did. 

     Many years later, the eagle chicken saw a magnificent bird high above in the sky. Awed by this sight the eagle chicken asked, who's that? and a wise old hen replied, That's the eagle the king of birds. The great eagles live in the sky, but we chickens can live only on the earth. And so we the eagle that believe it was a chicken lived like one, without ever realising its true identity and potential. 

Awakening is not something something to be pursued in the distant future in some remote place. It is something to be realised here and now in almost every thing that we do. 

    If we do not choose to awaken we will continue to sleepwalk through life.
