Child labour has become a serious social evil in the Indian society. Children below the age of 14 years are made to work in factories and other such institutions where they are exploited not only economically but also physically. According to the 2002 census, there were 14.6 million child labourers in India.An education system improvement will have a powerful influence on child labour problem.&nbsp;

Poem

                 CHILD LABOUR 

Boys and Girls who should be in school 
Few are turned into servants and maid 
And have no one left to their aide 
Forced into scrubbing household work. 

These small hands were made to play 
With dolls, toys and moulding clay 
They are covered with grease and oil 
Where it is supposed to be just soil. 

Those hands could been neat and tidy 
We could have been able to study 
If only you looked took a split second. 

They have been robbed of childhood 
Are unaware of bad and good things 
The ray of hope keeps drifting away
Some dream of changing their life one. 

Some are stuck in the flesh trade 
Their state is as good as dead 
Those who take on drug peddling 
Ready to consume whatever they bring

We see them on streets , at traffic light
Do not ever give thought on their plight 
Only the social media gets all attention 
Doesn't matter even if a child in prison. 

Those dirty hands are not by choice 
The words we say are just a voice 
Had we been blessed with different Destiny Our future would also be 
Became one day bright and shiny.
